Training Agenda & Goals

Students who participate in the training will engage in the theory and practice of these power vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, meditation and pranayama, as well as gaining tools to sharpen your insights, intentions and abilities.

The following areas will be covered over the course of the weekend:

• Intensive study of Power Flow asanas
• Yoga anatomy and physiology
• Sanskrit names of postures
• Pranayama techniques
• History and philosophy of yoga
• Basic injury modifications
• Ethics of teaching yoga
• Business of yoga
• Teacher development
• Assisting
• Classroom emergency management

Our training weekends generally follow this schedule:

• Friday 6pm – 9pm
• Saturday 8am – 6pm
• Sunday 8am – 5pm

Breaks are given for meals, etc. Exact hours subject to change slightly depending on group and instructor’s discretion.

Teacher training tuition ranges from $2750 – $3350 and includes free, unlimited yoga as soon as the early bird deadline ends and a $500 non-refundable deposit has been paid. Free yoga runs through the last day of training. Please email us for early bird pricing.

Completing the training does not guarantee you a teaching spot at Hot Yoga Plus. Any job offer from Hot Yoga Plus will be contingent upon your performance as a yoga teacher and upon availability on the Hot Yoga Plus schedule. HOWEVER, priority on the Hot Yoga Plus schedule will always be given to yoga teachers who have completed a Grow Yoga School training.

Your discounted yoga at Hot Yoga Plus begins as soon as the early bird deadline ends and a $500 non-refundable deposit has been paid. Discounted yoga runs through the duration of the training.

We are happy to work out a payment plan with you. However, please note that we must receive a final payment for your entire balance due by the beginning of our last weekend together. We also require you have an active credit card on file and that you sign a waiver allowing us to charge your card if you have not paid in full by the beginning of the last weekend.

The teacher training manual is included in the tuition. Other required reading is not included in the tuition. The studio has a copy of the required Paul Grilley videos that you may borrow.
